Get ready for takeoff with AeroQuest—Sullenberger Aviation Museum’s signature summer camp experience designed to spark a lifelong love of STEM, aviation, and exploration.
Through hands-on experiments, creative projects, and behind-the-scenes access to aviation history, campers in grades 2–8 will discover the science of flight, meet real-world role models, and build the confidence to dream big. With themed weekly sessions tailored by age group, AeroQuest transforms curiosity into capability—one flight plan at a time.

IMPORTANT DETAILS
- Camp Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Camp Days: Monday through Friday
- Drop-off/Pick-up: 8:30am drop-off and 3:30pm pick-up are available with limited availability for $70.
What to Wear:
- Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are required.
- Campers should dress for the weather, as activities will take place both indoors and outdoors.

FIRST FLIGHT: WHERE CURIOSITY TAKES OFF
Rising 2nd - 3rd Graders
Take flight into the exciting world of aviation! This camp introduces rising 2nd & 3rd graders to the fundamentals of flight through hands-on activities, interactive games, and engaging stories. Campers will explore how airplanes work, learn basic aviation vocabulary, and discover the people who made flight possible. Each day includes creative projects and time in the museum’s galleries, sparking curiosity and confidence as campers imagine themselves as future aviators.

FUTURE FLYERS: BUILD, TEST, FLY
Rising 4th - 5th Graders
Ready to engineer your own aircraft? In this STEM-focused camp, rising 4th & 5th graders will dive into the science behind flight and the innovation that drives aviation forward. Campers will design, build, and test their own prototypes, experimenting with aerodynamics and problem-solving like real aerospace engineers. Through hands-on challenges and museum-based learning, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how aircraft are made and what it takes to keep them soaring.

BREAKING BARRIERS: FROM LOCAL WINGS TO GLOBAL FLIGHT
This camp theme will be offered in two sessions: one week for rising 4th & 5th graders and one week for rising 6th, 7th, & 8th graders.
Campers will explore the history of flight, from local pioneers to global aerospace achievements. They’ll engage with museum exhibits, uncover stories of trailblazers who broke barriers, and participate in interactive activities that highlight aviation’s impact on society. Through creative projects and team challenges, each age group will see how innovation and determination have shaped the skies—and imagine what’s next.
